What is FLYP?
Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals is a non-profit organization that has been serving Fresno’s young professional community for nearly twenty years.
Our mission is to Lead, Serve and Connect young professionals through all stages in their careers in the greater Fresno area who are committed to professional and civic leadership.
Founded with a goal to FLYP the Script on traditional networking events, FLYP has been hosting monthly networking mixers, professional development events, organizing service events with local nonprofits and introducing young professionals to new career opportunities, mentors and building relationships with Fresno’s next generation of leaders.
What is the age range of FLYP?
FLYP is an all-inclusive organization that is geared towards young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s, as well as those who are young at heart.
Are there membership fees?
Becoming a FLYP member is as affordable as your next dinner! For just $45, you can give the gift of professional and personal development and receive FLYP membership for an entire year. Students are eligible for a discounted membership at $25.
What are the benefits of becoming a member?
As an individual member, you would be investing in yourself and getting great benefits while you’re at it! Such as special access to members-only events, discounts on general events, and being in the running for FLYPer of the month or year.
Depending on your corporate membership level, you and your organization will receive recognition on the FLYP website and newsletter, an opportunity to co-host or speak at a FLYP event, promote recruitment, and more!
Is FLYP a singles/dating network?
No. FLYP is an all-inclusive professional organization whose members are both single and married.
Is FLYP only a social network?
No. FLYP activities include social events, as well as community service and educational events.
How can I become more involved with FLYP?
There are various ways to get involved with FLYP. Becoming a FLYP member will open up the doors to member-only events. Serve the community by volunteering at a FLYP Serves event. Grow your professional skills at a FLYP Talks event with other professionals. If you or someone you know can sponsor or host one of our events, let us know by emailing board@flypinfo.com. When are FLYP Mixers?
FLYP Mixers occur monthly on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at local businesses throughout Fresno.
Who will I meet at a FLYP event?
Young professionals from a variety of industries and job fields. From college students to established professionals, everyone is welcome at FLYP events. FLYP hosts volunteer, professional development, and networking events throughout the year. Speakers from all walks of life give insight, advice, and tools to offer a path to success.
What should I wear to a FLYP mixer?
Many of our mixers are held at eateries and bars, we recommend that your attire reflects the setting. We encourage our FLYP attendees to dress in business casual or upscale casual attire which includes jeans, slacks, or appropriate dresses.

What does the FLYP Board of Directors do?
FLYP is led by all volunteers committed to helping grow and retain Fresno’s professional talent.. Our members are the mission and our goal is to showcase Fresno as a great place to work, live and play in.
