Board of Directors

Chairman

Ellena Woodhams

To Ellena, the best thing about working for a third-generation family business is seeing the impact its operations have on the community. Among her greatest passions is fostering youth involvement in the betterment of Fresno both today and for the future. Her professional drive is matched only by her undying love of baseball. Go Giants!

Vice Chair

Sal Lucatero

With a background in education and a love for helping others further their own personal and professional development, Sal now finds himself with a front row seat to downtown revitalization. Having mastered the art of replying “WOW,” Sal’s infectious enthusiasm makes him a vibrant member of the professional community in Fresno.

Membership

Nina Waste

Everything Nina does is driven by an insatiable thirst for learning, both personally and professionally. No stranger to hard work, the words “good enough” aren’t even in her vocabulary. When she’s not holding down membership outreach or juggling projects at work, you may find her volunteering at the local animal shelter or planning trips to satisfy her wanderlust.

Multi-media Marketing

Mike Bowman

Apart from a sincere love of the outdoors and new experiences, Mike touts his knack for developing genuine relationships as a driving force in all he does. A recipient of the 40 under 40 award, his time away from managing two successful businesses and producing viral videos is usually spent with friends and family… and sometimes The Bachelor.

Secretary

Megan Cunnigham

Student of Culinology by day, professional chef by night, Megan is part artist/part scientist/all entrepreneur. Between developing her own cookbook and venturing out as a personal chef, she somehow still finds time to help keep tabs on FLYP’s many ongoing efforts to build a better community in Fresno. She also taught the board to make jambalaya.

Treasurer

Jackson Waste

Former stand-up comedian and current amateur photographer, Jackson has found success at the crossroads of law and finance. Self-proclaimed creative problem solver, when Jackson isn’t practicing law as a commercial litigator, he’s more than likely got his nose stuck in a work of fiction or off enjoying a Giants game with his family.

Fund Development

Kristina Garabedian

When she’s not defending the law, running her non-profit organization, or jet setting around the globe, Kristina can often be found in her kitchen, filling lives with delicious baked goods, most of which she cannot eat. As Fund Development Chair, she is tasked with spearheading FLYP’s many fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Social

Megan Souza

Between her day job as Marketing Director and evenings spent as a Professor of Marketing, Megan is constantly striving to leverage her knowledge and experience as a tool for the betterment of everyone around her. When she’s not hustling professionally, she’s fighting for the humane treatment of animals everywhere, including her own pup, Cooper.

Professional Development

Katie Williamson

A distinguished alumnus of Fresno State, Katie strives to empower others in all she does. After launching her own website and publishing a 12-week wellness study, she then embarked on a self-prescribed quest to conquer fear in search of a legendary life. To her, being part of FLYP is just another adventure between road trips on her motorcycle.

Technology

Mathr de Leon

After over a decade of experience working in the entertainment industry, Mathr decided to switch gears and try something new. Since 2012, he's worked as designer, director, or dictator on any project he can sink his teeth into. When he's not searching for new creative outlets, he's likely sharpening his table tennis skills by losing to anyone who has the time.

Community Outreach

Sydney Stout

Having graduated from FSU as Top Management Student in her Business class, Sydney now spends her days working as part of a global supply chain responsible for getting products from seed to shelves around the world. The rest of the time you’re likely to find her exploring new restaurants or hitting the road to take in another concert.
