Professional Development
The Professional Development committee links FLYP members with established local organizations who organize professional seminars and events. In addition the FLYP professional development committee works with these established groups to design programs tailored to meet the needs of our members.
FLYP Professional development offers several programs to develop professional skills for our FLYP members including our popular Speaker Series, seminars led by top business and civic leaders about issues that affect young professionals. Please email Tim Sudiacal if you know of any programs that you would like FLYP to partner with.
On a monthly basis, the FLYP professional development committee publishes local seminars and events about professional development skills in our newsletter and website. In addition, FLYP co-sponsors many of these monthly events and offers discounts to our members. On a quarterly basis, FLYP professional development works with various groups in Fresno to host events for our members on topics requested by our members.
Please contact Tim Sudiacal to get involved in FLYP’s professional development committee. The Professional Development Committee meets once a month to discuss opportunities available to us as well as to plan the FLYP professional development event calendar. In 2010, Joe Denham and Tim Sudiacal have taken leadership as co-chairs of the committee. Our Committee’s vision moving forward is to help young professionals discover what they like doing and what they are good at doing, and we plan to develop many of our programs and strategies around what you as FLPYers want to see happen in Fresno.
