Social and Professional Networking
Social and Professional Networking are instrumental in every professional’s path to a successful career. Building a variety of key contacts can assist a professional in finding a job, getting leads, feeling connected to the community, and even building lasting friendships.
FLYP provides our members with an array of social networking opportunities every month including:
Monthly Mixers: Join FLYP at some of Fresno’s newest and hottest local restaurants to meet other young professionals in a relaxed environment. Our mixers provide a great opportunity to make lasting professional connections while enjoying some of Fresno’s best venues.
Host a Mixer Want to market your restaurant to the young professional community? On average our monthly mixers attract between 80-120 young professionals and generate an additional $800-$1000 in sales. If you are interested in hosting a mixer please fill out the form below.
Quarterly Events: are held four times a year at various venues around Fresno. Previous events have included Fresno State Football Games, Grizzly Baseball Games, Fresno Fuego Soccer Games, and Fresno Falcons Hockey Games. Quarterly Events are just another way that FLYP members can engage with other professionals in a casual setting.
Softball Team: FLYP is excited to announce the second season of our Softball Team this summer. FLYP Softball is a great way for members to connect with other professionals in the area and have fun on the field. If you are interested in joining a team please contact Brian Stepanak.
FLYP’s Celebrity Fresno is our annual awards banquet held to honor and recognize Fresno’s finest leading professionals in the Valley.
Award categories are as follows:

- Company of the Year
- FLYPer of the Year

The Social Committee plans all FLYP Social activities. Our role is to help FLYP member connect with other young professionals in the area by planning events that allow Members to Network and develop lasting relationships.
Events include:
- Monthly mixers with our members and the local business community.
- Quarterly networking events with strategic partners.
- Annual awards banquet.
The social committee holds monthly meetings to provide fun networking opportunities for our members.
The Marketing Committee’s role is to promote and create awareness of FLYP in the community through a variety of strategic marketing efforts. Our committee works directly with Board and staff in order to coordinate consistent marketing strategy.
Such efforts include:
Develops marketing plans and structure that help increase new membership and retention of new and existing members.
Assists staff in the preparation of presentations, speeches, evens etc…
Submits press releases and PSA’s.
Reviews all printed materials as quality control check prior to printing and distribution of the materials.
Seeks, identifies and develops media contacts and relationships.
The marketing committee holds monthly meetings to coordinate all marketing communications for FLYP committee efforts.
