In addition, your contribution will enable FLYP to continue creating future opportunities for Fresno’s young professionals to lead, serve and connect with one another in the community—enabling Fresno to attract and retain more of its young leaders.

FLYP makes it possible for our region’s young professionals to become our future leaders, whether they’re pursuing careers in business, social entrepreneurship, politics, education, or government. We provide young professionals with a platform that pushes them to develop new skills, discover hidden strengths, and connect with other community leaders to find solutions to problems. By pursuing opportunities via FLYP’s various committees or and community partners, FLYP members are already beginning to create a foundation for solid growth in Fresno and the Central Valley.
Serve.
Great leaders are known not only for their ability to empower themselves, but also for their ability to serve others. At FLYP, we recommend that our members share what they have learned with others in the community and give back to others whenever possible. Whether we’re raising money for our annual scholarship fund, teaching kids about entrepreneurship in middle-schools, or explaining why high school youth should vote when they turn age 18, we believe that every young professional can help create opportunities for others to contribute to our long-term success as a community.

Without a vibrant social community of young professionals, our region will face problems of sustainability to lead our region in the future. As a result, FLYP has made it a priority to cultivate an upbeat social atmosphere that unites young professionals in Fresno to connect with area leaders, share ideas, and pursue opportunities to lead or serve in their community. Since our network of members is growing continually, we are able to share information about community resources and events that keep young professionals in Fresno engaged. A healthy social environment encourages innovation and makes young professionals think twice before moving to another city to pursue other work.
