Allison BoogaertChair

Allison Boogaert is a Fresno native and a graduate of Scripps College, with a B.A. in Psychology and Art. After graduating, Allison worked in the area of governmental advocacy for non-profit organizations, public agencies, and municipalities as an Associate at Townsend Public Affairs, Inc. in Oakland and Sacramento, California. In 2007, Allison entered a graduate program at Fresno Pacific University and in May of 2010 she will be graduating with an M.A. in Peacemaking and Conflict Studies. Wile attending graduate school, Allison has had extensive experience in the non-profit sector as the Program Director for Mama Makeka House of Hope. She now is focusing her expertise in research methodology, graphic design, non-profict organizational sustainability, and peacemaking in her work as a Consultant for Boogaert & Noll, LLC. In addition to this work, Allison recently co-founded a new Fresno-based film production company, named Satoria Productions.

Dawn SteeleVice Chairman/ Marketing & Social Director

Dawn Steele graduated from Fresno Pacific University (FPU) with a degree in Business Administration. While in college she moved to DC for a semester, interning at an International Marketing & Consulting Firm. Dawn was also president of FPU’s Rotaract Club. Following graduation she was hired to work in the City of Fresno Economic Development Department. Dawn now works for the City of Fresno in the Downtown & Community Revitalization Department as a Management Analyst for the Neighborhood Revitalization Division. In her spare time sits on the Board for FPU Sunbird Conservatives Alumni Association as well as the Fresno Leading Young Professionals Board as Vice Chair. In addition Dawn was recently honored as BusineesStreet’s “Business Leader of the Week” and “40 Under 40”.

Joyce SalazarSecretary

Joyce L. Salazar graduated from CSU Fresno with a B.S. Engineering.  While in college, she was a recipient of the Pacific Telesis Scholarship, Sacramento Real-estate and Land use Scholarship and the 1st place national winner for the Walt Disney Company Imagineering design competition where some of her design concepts have been utilized in Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom Adventure Park in Orlando, Florida. Joyce previously worked as a Facility Engineer for Fluor Daniel (F&PS) at the IBM site in San Jose, CA where she was recognized for Safety Engineering “Breakfast of Champions” award.  She has also worked   in various engineering firms in Fresno which includes Quad Knopf Engineer, Boyle Engineering, and OneInterface.com. Joyce is the current secretary for FLYP.  She is an active member of La Visionaria Guild of Children’s Hospital, a committee member of Fresno’s District 2 Implementation Committee, a former catechism teacher for Our Lady of Victory Parrish, and most recently was invited to participate in the Fresno’s Citizens Academy by Mayor Swearengin. Joyce currently works in the Engineering Department at Strategic Mechanical Inc. in Fresno.

Arthur Moyé, CPA- Treasurer

Originally from southern California Arthur moved to San Jose to attend college at San Jose State University.  He majored in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.  Arthur was the president of Beta Alpha Psi, a business fraternity, and involved in the Metropolitan Universities Scholars Experience (MUSE) where he mentored freshman students, and co-taught freshman seminars.  After graduation he began working in the San Francisco office of PricerwaterhouseCoopers as an Auditor, where he earned his Certified Public Accountant designation.  He moved to Fresno to join another public accounting firm, Deloitte & Touché, just prior to being picked up by a local firm, The Garabedian Group.  Arthur is an avid camper & hiker, and enjoys brewing beer, barbequing, and just about any outdoor activity.  He is excited about the direction FLYP is going, and looks forward to serving as treasurer.

Tim Sudiacal - Professional Development Director

Tim Sudiacal graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.A. in Classical Civilizations.  Tim ran a very successful business as an  undergraduate and has brought that entrepreneurial experience with him to Fresno.  He currently works with Fresno-based consulting firm, Boogaert & Noll, where he serves as a catalyst in helping the leadership teams within various organizations make the leap from good to great.  Tim serves on the Board of Directors for both Creative Fresno and Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals (FLYP).  After learning about Fresno’s inability to keep its most talented individuals, Tim has become passionate about helping FLYP create new opportunities that will allow Fresno to compete with other major U.S. cities in attracting and retaining the best and brightest young professionals.

Nikki Bishop - Community Outreach Director

Born and raised in Fresno, Nikki Bishop graduated from CSU Fresno with a B.S. Degree in Nutrition.  While at Fresno State, Nikki was inspired by work she did with the Nutrition Network, providing nutrition education to school-age kids.  Her involvement in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, the Extreme Makeover Home Edition in Fresno and Animal Rescue Fresno has solidified her love for volunteering for charitable organizations in the Fresno Area.  As Co-Chair of FLYP’s Community Outreach Committee, her goal is to engage other young professionals to volunteer with a variety of organizations in need to help the greater good and to meet new friends and contacts.  She currently works as a Registered Dietitian with Dietary Directions, Inc. specializing in Geriatric and Subacute Care.  She previously served on the Board for the Central Valley Dietetic Association and is currently a member of the American Dietetic Association and on the Selection Committee for the Porterville Dietetic Internship.

Joseph Newcomb - Information Technology Director

Joseph Newcomb graduated from Fresno’s Heald College with an A.A.S in Computer Information Technology. He is currently working in IT Administration for the Madera County Office of Education. Prior to relocating to Fresno, Mr. Newcomb developed a large scope of experience in Technology & Leadership while living in the Bay Area. There he served as an IT Coordinator for the Department of Defense, and thereafter, the Cambrian School District. Joseph is excited to be a part of Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals and will be working diligently to establish services that create opportunities for young professionals and retain them for years to come.

Sarah MoffatSpecial Projects Director

Sarah Moffat is a Madera native who moved to Fresno to attend California State University, Fresno.  While in college, Sarah interned with the State Bar of California, Girardi & Keese Law Firm in Los Angeles, Madera County Probation and Fresno City Councilman Tom Boyajian. After obtaining a degree from CSU Fresno in Political Science, Sarah went on to work for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein.  Sarah is responsible for sixteen Central California Counties in addition to her work on law enforcement issues within the State.  Sarah is an active member of FLYP which is evident with her participation in the Social Marketing Committee, Inaugural FLYP Awards Banquet, FLYP Softball Team, and the 2009 FLYP’er of the Year.

Stacy Lucas – Fundraising Director

Stacy Lucas, a native of Fresno, is an associate attorney with Barsamian & Moody in Fresno.  She specializes in employment litigation, focusing on advising and training employers regarding labor and employment issues.  Stacy graduated from Clovis High School in 1993.  She received her B.A. degree in English with a minor in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law in 2000, where she took a course of study in both the common and civil law systems.  She is admitted to practice in both California and Louisiana. She practiced as a plaintiff’s attorney in Louisiana for four years.

After she returned to California, she was looking to get involved in her community and joined Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals.  As a member of FLYP she has helped plan their events, participated in fundraising and is a member of the Downtown Academy. Stacy is also the President of the Shakers of Community Hospital, a group of professionals that raise money and awareness for Community.

Nevin Hindiyeh - FLYP Founder & Ex- Officio Board Member

Nevin Hindiyeh has founded and/or participated in young professionals organizations for the past six years. She has been an engineer with Pacific Gas and Electric since 2002, and had worked with Chevron as a facilities engineer prior to that. Nevin graduated in June 2000 from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and is currently pursuing an MBA at Fresno State. She serves on the boards of Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals and Creative Fresno. Nevin hope to see Fresno continue to blossom into an amazing economic stronghold with a thriving community.
